This is where the city meets the water,
where the Broad Shoulders meet the shores of Lake Michigan
sometimes in a graceful sloping lansdscape,
sometimes like a broken nose on its face-
sometimes in quiet pesonal solitude,
sometimes in chaotic community,
these are humble notes of a larger song.
